What InsideRAK is

InsideRAK is a daily-updated news pillar, an investor-grade reference, and a trust layer over the existing Ras Al Khaimah information ecosystem. The emirate generates a great deal of news and very little of it is gathered in one place, verified, dated and linked back to its source. That is the gap this publication exists to close.

We are not a tourism portal in Phase 1, though guides and directories now sit alongside the news desks. We are not a paywalled research product; the value today is authority and reach rather than subscription revenue.

Where we publish from

InsideRAK is published from the European Union. The publication is produced by Brands Select, a digital studio operating from Cyprus, an EU member state, and it holds no company, licence or commercial interest inside Ras Al Khaimah or the wider United Arab Emirates.

That is a deliberate structure rather than an accident of geography. A publication covering an emirate's government, free zones, property market and tourism authority has fewer conflicts to manage when it is not itself licensed by, registered with, or commercially dependent on any of them. Operating from an EU member state also places our data handling and advertising practice under European rules.

Ownership and independence
There is no Ras Al Khaimah or UAE ownership in InsideRAK. No government body, free zone, developer, hotel group or commercial entity in the emirate holds a stake in the publication or any editorial say over it. We support the emirate's growth by reporting it accurately, not by representing anyone in it.

Who reads it

Three audiences at once, and the editing standard has to satisfy all three.

  • Residents and businesses who want to know what is happening in RAK today, sourced rather than rumoured.
  • Investors, family offices and operators assessing the emirate as a destination for capital, who need figures that carry a date and a source.
  • The emirate's own institutions and leadership, who benefit from a credible, independent record of their story rather than a promotional one.

How a story gets published

Four steps, applied to every item, including the short ones.

01
Source scan
A daily scan of government, wire and trade-press sources for RAK-relevant developments.
02
Verification
Claims cross-checked against at least one primary or official source before publication.
03
Original summary
We write an original summary and category tag. Never a copy-paste republish.
04
Source link
Every item links to the originating outlet so readers can verify and go deeper.

We do not fabricate quotes, statistics or events. Market and economic figures carry their source and date; where a live data feed is not yet integrated, we say so rather than presenting a static figure as real-time.

Source tiers

Not all sources carry equal weight, and we grade them explicitly.

Tier 1 Government and official — ministry releases, RAKEZ and RAKTDA statements, exchange filings, court and registry records.
Tier 1 Wire and national press — established agencies and UAE national titles reporting on the record.
Tier 2 Trade and business press — sector publications, corroborated against a Tier 1 source where a claim is material.
Tier 2 Partner networks — named and credited, never used as the sole source for a factual claim.

Who builds InsideRAK

The publication is designed, built and maintained by Brands Select, an AI-led branding and digital studio working across the EU and the GCC. Brands Select is disclosed wherever it appears in our coverage, including in the editorial we have published about the studio itself.

We work alongside RAK Leaders Club and Who Is Who in RAK as named, credited partners. Those relationships are commercial in nature and are labelled on every page where their content appears. They carry no editorial influence over news coverage.

Frequently asked

Who owns InsideRAK?

InsideRAK is published by Brands Select, a European digital studio operating from Cyprus, an EU member state. There is no Ras Al Khaimah or wider UAE ownership in the publication, and no government, free-zone or commercial entity in the emirate holds any stake in it.

Is InsideRAK an official Ras Al Khaimah government website?

No. InsideRAK is independent, with no affiliation to the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, RAKEZ, RAKTDA, RAK ICC or any other authority in the emirate. Where a page could imply otherwise, we state the position explicitly.

Why is a publication about Ras Al Khaimah based in the EU?

Editorial distance. A publication that holds no licence, no local commercial interest and no institutional relationship in the emirate it covers can report on that emirate without a conflict to manage. Operating from an EU member state also places us under European data and advertising rules.

Does InsideRAK republish other publishers' articles?

No. Every item is written in our own words as an original summary, with the originating outlet named and linked. We do not reproduce full articles, copy sentences verbatim or syndicate third-party feeds.
