Sourcing

We rely on primary sources wherever they exist: official government portals, RAK Economic Zone releases, RAKTDA and RAK ICC statements, stock-exchange filings, company announcements and on-the-record interviews.

When we summarise reporting first published elsewhere, we name the publication and link to the original article. Readers should always be able to reach the source in one click.

Verification

Figures, names and dates are cross-checked against the issuing organisation's own materials before publication. A number that cannot be traced to an identifiable source does not get published.

Breaking-news items are labelled as such and updated as fuller information arrives. Where a figure is our own calculation rather than a published statistic, the sources block says so.

The sources block
Every news story carries a sources block at its foot, listing each source with a tier badge, the publisher, the headline and the date. This is not decoration. It is the mechanism by which a reader, or a Google News assessor, can audit the piece.

Corrections

If a factual error is found after publication we correct the article in place, add a dated correction note at the foot of the page, and update the dateModified value in the page metadata. We do not silently amend published copy.

Report an error to corrections@insiderak.com. We aim to respond within 48 hours and to correct confirmed errors the same day.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made independently of advertisers, partners and the subjects of our coverage. No commercial relationship secures, alters, delays or suppresses a news story.

InsideRAK holds no company, licence or commercial interest inside Ras Al Khaimah or the wider United Arab Emirates. The publication is produced from the European Union, and no government body, free zone, developer or operator in the emirate holds a stake in it or any editorial say over it. Where a page could imply an official relationship that does not exist, we state the position explicitly.

Commercial content is available and clearly separated from reporting. Four rules apply without exception.

  • A persistent SPONSORED label on the card and on the page itself, never only at the foot.
  • A paid-for-by line naming the paying party.
  • A visually distinct treatment, so the format alone signals the difference before any label is read.
  • Exclusion from the news feeds, the Latest grid and the RAK Briefing newsletter.

Where a subject of coverage also has a commercial relationship with us or with Brands Select, that relationship is disclosed in the body of the article, not in small print.

AI and search transparency

We publish structured data and machine-readable markup so search engines and AI assistants can parse our content accurately. We use machine assistance for source scanning, schema generation and drafting support.

We do not publish AI-generated quotes, fabricated sources or synthetic statistics. Every item is reviewed by an editor before publication, and the editor is accountable for its accuracy.

We do not republish other publishers' work. No syndicated feeds, no scraped articles, no verbatim reproduction of another outlet's copy. Facts — dates, venues, figures, official statements — are reported in our own words with the source named and linked.

Our own reporting may be quoted with attribution and a link. Wholesale reproduction requires written permission.

Who applies this policy

InsideRAK is designed, built and maintained by Brands Select, a digital studio operating from Cyprus. Editorial responsibility for everything published here rests with the InsideRAK newsroom, and correspondence about any story should go to the masthead rather than the studio.

Frequently asked

How does InsideRAK verify its reporting?

Figures, names and dates are cross-checked against the issuing organisation's own materials before publication. Breaking items are labelled as such and updated as fuller information arrives. Every story carries a sources block listing where its facts came from.

How do I report an error?

Email corrections@insiderak.com. Confirmed factual errors are corrected in place, a correction note is added at the foot of the article, and the dateModified in the page metadata is updated. We do not silently amend published copy.

Does InsideRAK accept payment for coverage?

Never for editorial. Sponsored content carries a persistent SPONSORED label and a paid-for-by line, uses a visually distinct treatment, and is excluded from the news feeds. No payment can secure, alter or suppress a news story.

Does InsideRAK use AI to write its articles?

We use machine assistance for source scanning, structured data and drafting support, and every published item is reviewed by an editor. We do not publish AI-generated quotes, fabricated sources or synthetic statistics.
