Getting there

Jebel Jais sits inland from Ras Al Khaimah's coast, reached by a paved mountain road that climbs from the Wadi Shah area up to the Jais Adventure Peak complex. The drive from Ras Al Khaimah city takes roughly 45-60 minutes; from Dubai, allow around 90 minutes to two hours depending on traffic. Some activity operators restrict road access to the upper sections to guests with a confirmed booking -- check this when you book rather than assuming general access.
