RAKEZ has begun issuing digital business licences carrying a QR code that banks and government counters can verify instantly, cutting out the paper-chase that used to follow approval. Founders who previously waited days for a stamped hard copy before they could open a corporate bank account can now do so the same day licensing clears.
The change lands as RAKEZ pushes registrations past 40,000 companies from more than 100 countries. Digital-first onboarding is aimed squarely at remote founders and international investors who set up a RAK entity without ever visiting the emirate in person — a growing share of new registrations, according to the free zone's own reporting.
