What happened

Pakistan's National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) brought a mobile registration team to the Pakistan Centre in Ras Al Khaimah on Saturday, 18 July 2026, running from 8am to 4pm to assist Pakistani nationals in the emirate.

The team processed first-time National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (Nicop) applications, Nicop renewals and corrections, reprinting of cancelled Nicops, and Family Registration Certificates. Applicants were asked to bring all relevant identity documents with them.

The UAE is home to more than two million Pakistanis, the second-largest overseas Pakistani community in the world, and RAK's share of that population has limited access to consular services compared with Dubai and Abu Dhabi. For those unable to attend in person, Nadra's Pak-Identity mobile app supports remote Nicop applications and renewals, and the Pakistani consulates in Dubai and Abu Dhabi remain the standing alternative.

Mobile consular and registration visits like this one are a recurring, low-cost way expatriate-community services reach the northern emirates without a permanent consular presence — worth tracking as RAK's expatriate population continues to grow alongside its industrial and tourism expansion.
