The Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has entered into a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Emirates, the UAE's flagship carrier, to drive a significant increase in international visitor arrivals. The partnership is designed to leverage Emirates' global network to market RAK as a premier destination for luxury and nature-led tourism.

The collaboration comes at a critical juncture as the emirate prepares for the 'inflection point' provided by the upcoming Wynn Al Marjan Island resort. By aligning marketing efforts with one of the world's most connected airlines, RAK aims to capture a larger share of high-net-worth travelers and leisure tourists who previously viewed the emirate as a secondary destination to Dubai.

Key initiatives under the MoU include joint promotional campaigns, targeted digital marketing, and the creation of seamless travel packages that encourage stopovers in Ras Al Khaimah. This strategic alignment is expected to boost hotel occupancy rates and increase spending across the emirate's hospitality and retail sectors.

RAK's tourism leadership has emphasized that the emirate is emerging from the shadow of its neighbors by offering a unique blend of adventure, such as Jebel Jais, and ultra-luxury developments. This partnership with Emirates provides the logistical and promotional muscle necessary to scale these offerings to a global audience.
