Wynn Al Marjan Island has signed a partnership with Punchdrunk, the British immersive-theatre company behind the long-running Sleep No More, to create an original production exclusively for the Ras Al Khaimah resort's Art Deco-styled theatre. The show will be directed by Punchdrunk founder Felix Barrett alongside Wynn Resorts CEO Craig S. Billings, and will let guests choose between a traditional seated performance or a roaming, behind-the-scenes journey through the venue. It marks Punchdrunk's first production anywhere in the Middle East and North Africa, debuting alongside the resort's planned 2027 opening.
The tie-up signals Wynn is leaning on marquee entertainment, not just gaming and hospitality, to differentiate Al Marjan Island as construction advances toward its 2027 opening — a strategy that mirrors the operator's long-running Las Vegas partnerships with Cirque du Soleil. For Ras Al Khaimah, a globally recognised production gives the resort another reason to draw visitors beyond the casino floor, reinforcing RAKTDA's push toward higher-spending, longer-stay tourism as the emirate works toward its 2030 visitor targets.
