Marjan Group Group CEO Abdulla Al Abdouli has provided a comprehensive update on the master developer's role in executing Ras Al Khaimah's Vision 2030, revealing AED 30 billion worth of active projects across its three flagship destinations: Al Marjan Island, Jebel Jais, and the new RAK Central downtown district.
In an extensive interview, Al Abdouli outlined a three-pillar strategy: infrastructure enablement, anchor attraction development, and community building. The company has completed 85% of Al Marjan Island's master infrastructure, including 7.8km of beaches, 23km of roads, and full utility networks. The island now hosts 12 operating hotels with 4,500 keys, targeting 8,000 by 2027.
At Jebel Jais, the UAE's highest peak, Marjan has developed the Jais Flight zipline, Jais Sledder, and the 184-room Pulsar Hotel, with a new 120-key luxury lodge and a mountain railway project in advanced planning. The destination attracted 600,000 visitors in H1 2026, a 40% increase year-on-year.
RAK Central, a 2.5 million sqm mixed-use downtown, has broken ground on its first phase: a 400,000 sqm business park, a 300-key business hotel, and 1,200 residential units. The district is designed as a 15-minute city with integrated metro connectivity (planned), green corridors, and a cultural quarter.
Al Abdouli emphasized that Marjan's government ownership allows long-term horizon planning, with land release phased to match absorption. The group's revenue grew 35% to AED 1.8 billion in 2025, driven by land sales, lease income, and hospitality management fees. He confirmed that Wynn Al Marjan Island remains on track for early 2027 opening, dismissing speculation about delays.
